Temptation strikes...this book is back-ordered everywhere, but I have a copy sitting in a bubble-wrap package upstairs. The only problem is that it's not mine. Do I read it, or mail it to my friend who's expecting it? Must...resist...temptation....

I just read a few stories out of it to my wife as she was falling asleep in bed. So fun. I say rip it open and read it... Well-read books are worth more anyway. :)
I think your friend shouldn't mind a bit if you read it. Friends are neat that way. :^)
You absolutely rip that sucker out of the wrapper and enjoy it. Books should be read. There is nothing wrong with sharing them, loaning them, and giving them away when you are done. I don't think it's even an issue, beyond my stunned amazement at the integrity of my Canadian brothers and sisters in Christ. Have mercy! ;-)
