Yesterday

After four pretty frothy posts, I'll comment on something a bit more serious. Yesterday was a pretty intense day for me. I spoke in the morning about some of what God has been teaching me the past year - about dying to self, being part of a dying church, and moving away from some of the old models. It was a bit of a risk, but (overall) people responded well. I was careful not to lay a year's worth of God's leading and working in my life and expect everyone to sign up on the spot. Still, I'm often surprised that people are more ready to follow God than I am. I also had a couple of meetings. Our board had to wrestle through a really tough issue. We had a very honest discussion, challenged one another, and came up with a good resolution. I was tired when I came home, but a good tired. It's great to work with some truly amazing individuals.
