Leftists wrong on Iraq?

I hate to blog about the Iraq war thing, because I know less and less what to believe. I do find this article interesting, though. It shows that the real debate isn't between the left and right. The issues are way more complicated (or simple?) than that:

Audrey McLaughlin, a former federal NDP leader, says she does not share the Canadian left's overwhelming opposition to the forced removal of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. She acknowledged that, were she still living in Canada, she would have opposed the war... While critical of certain aspects of the U.S.-led war, Ms. McLaughlin said her experience working for a U.S. organization in Baghdad has affected her views.

This appeared in yesterday's National Post. Can't find it online for some reason.

That's typical of the left. They're left until they start to see the reality of a given situation. Then they begin to move from their original idealistic position and, voila, they become more realistic.
