Computer support

One of the worst jobs in the world has to be computer support by telephone. This is closely followed by the job of receiving computer support by telephone, especially if you know a little more than a newbie. Last night, I got a little too excited about the blogger chat and tried to participate while washing dishes. This shouldn't be a discovery for me, but I discovered that keyboards don't like water. Usually when they dry off, though, they're fine. Not last night. I think I fried the keyboard or something. So, this morning's job was phoning Dell. Dell Support is great, but first you have to convince them that some obscure Windows setting or shareware program isn't causing the problem. It took 45 minutes to get them to dispatch a new keyboard. I'm grateful for Dell Support. It rocks. But it would be good if they had an option on their phone line: "Press 5 if you're a doofus and know exactly what you did to screw up your computer." It would save a lot of time.

I know I shouldn't but I am laughing at your expense about this one :)

I think this may regrettably prove that men cannot multi-task. I too have to have a giggle. I saw you leave but didn't realise it was so serious for your keyboard, may it R.I.P.
