Porn cars aren't welcome at church

A fascinating story:
What if I was a porn producer and involved in this ìfilthyî XXX industry and drove my companyís vehicle to church because I was searching for God? Shouldnít the Church embrace and welcome me no matter what I do, what I look like or what kind of car I drive? Wouldnít you be thrilled that a ìtrue seekerî had entered your property? In a perfect world, you would expect and hope that was the case. But, in reality, the very thing that Erwin had spoken out against in his book had happened at his own church.
Unbelievable when they call the police on him but say they'd like him to come back to their church. Thanks to Andrew Hamilton for the link.

I pastor a rural church in the Bible Belt. I had to grin while reading the story...Point well made. But another part of me would suspect that this guy likes 'stirring the pot up'. Driving a marked car around like that does become a lightning bolt for such occurences. And it has been my experience to meet more people who were 'self-appointed'to 'stir folks up' vs. 'God-annointed' people who speak the truth in love and have the same results. Great story though...and one to chew on. Thanks for posting it.

That is seriously sick (that they would call teh police that is)... but it takes a lot of "open-minded" people to think that way (to not freak out that is). People need to not react, they need to respond, so far I know way to manay Christians who just react, instead of responding, Jesus only responded, he never reacted.

wow, certainly stirred up a lot of comments on the relevant site... while he has ONE valid point in his article (the one you quoted here on this site), i agree with the Tony's comments above and many of the comments on the relevant site. I think this guy needs his ego to come down a bit and look at things in perspective.
