Quiet Core

Ron Martoia fries my circuits. He's my new hero. He just spoke on a number of transitions leaders need to make - from technical to adaptive leadership, from search engine to query line, from program directors to experience/ethos creators. But the one that got me the most was the most obvious, yet the most neglected: that all of this does not come from a focus on the surroundings, but rather from a quiet core. A quiet core is job one, and only comes from the pursuit of rhythms that allow that core to be strong, reflective, and creative. A quiet core is job one. Just what I've been neglecting, and just what I needed to hear. We not only heard Ron speak, but his team recreated a worship experience about unplugging in a wired world. This (if applied) could be lifechanging.
