Pastor-Shepherd

I've been sick with a cold the past few days. I've been way too busy. I'm starting to think that I've made a mistake. Maybe a full-time job, a course, a writing project, and a bathroom renovation is too much. Maybe stupid is more accurate. I'm off to a seminar today at Heritage called "The Return of the Pastor-Shepherd." It's led by Glenn Wagner, author of Escape from Church, Inc. I detest the CEO model of pastor, but I also think we misunderstand the true meaning of what a shepherd is (sipping tea with seniors, stroking the sheep). "It's time for pastors to reclaim their birthright as shepherds who model their lives and their ministries on Christ, the Good Shepherd." It should be an interesting day.
