Prayer of Jabez

Solely on textual terms, it is hard to make much more of Jabez and his prayer. It is more edifying to read the Ouch! prayer as a wry leavening of scripture than as a motivational mantra or a magical success formula. Besides, the church already has a model prayer.

It is amazing how many people are deceived abotu the prayer of Jabez. The only person who got rich from it was the author. Now one else can give a testimony that he prayed the pray of Jabez and became an instant millionaire or got healed of a major disease! Bunch of con artists!
